Deck The Halls
Deck The Halls
With November arriving and the colder weather settling in with it, we're already feeling ready to get the house feeling festive and cosy. It might be a bit early still, but there's nothing wrong with getting some bits in ready for the decorating, is there? So let us show you a few of our favourite pieces and some ideas for themes along the way.
Fairy Lights
Is there a better, more instant way of giving your home a cosy feel? We think not. Simply put some batteries in, hang them wherever you want and you're done. Draping them over a surface such as a fireplace or book shelf saves the faff of having to put pins in the walls too, plus it still looks lovely.
Decorations
You can never have enough decorations. Be it baubles to go on the tree, a wreath for your door or just decorations for around the house, it's always nice to add a few to your collection each year and give it a little refresh. This year we've got decorations coming out of our ears so we're sure there'll be something to suit all tastes.
If in doubt, theme it
If it's theme you go for, then we've got some suggestions. We've got 3 different trees in our shop this year, each one with a different vibe. One is a fabulous tropical theme with sparkles and bright colours all over, one is more quirky with funky novelty decorations on such as bottles of ketchup or vintage telephones. The final one we've filled with Shoeless Joe and felt decorations which looks a little more traditional, but still with it's own quirky charm of course. As much as we love things being mixed and matched, sometimes it's nice to have a theme to stick to, so if you agree, we hope these give some inspiration.
Everything Else
So now that you've got your tree sorted and fairy lights, it's time for the other bits that bring it all together. Maybe hang a garland over a bed for a subtle but cute touch of Christmas, or buy a couple of seasonal candles to get the whole place smelling festive. And don't forget the homeware. Mugs, jugs, plates and more, these will bring you a little bit of festive joy each time you use them. Whether it's a cup of tea in a Christmas mug or serving up all of the delights on the big day, we're sure it'll bring some festive cheer. Plus, the homeware makes for great gifts for Christmas lovers.
We hope this has given you some inspiration for your home this Christmas if you're feeling ready to spruce it up a bit. If you're in need of some gift-giving inspiration then fear not, we'll be gifting you with some of those too, starting next week and continuing on until early December. So keep a look out and enjoy!
