Halloween is Sneaking Up...
Where on Earth is October going? We've settled nicely into Autumn now, and Halloween is just around the corner and we love it. The window is done, we're making the most of our Emma Bridgewater Halloween mugs at home, and enjoying some terrifyingly good treats with it (no tricks, yet). Even if you're not a fan of all things scary, there's no reason you can't sink your teeth into the joyful parts of spooky season, such as a good old Halloween party.
If you're having a party planning nightmare, allow us to lend a helping hand with some infectious inspiration and a few terrifyingly terrific goodies.
First up, get the decorations sorted.
Getting your home Halloween ready for a party might often feel like a mammoth task, but it needn't be. Dot some pumpkins around the room and you're off to a great start. These can be real or fake, but if you want to keep them for next year, we've got these little velvet ones from Talking Tables which are too cute. Or honeycomb ones which are super easy as they're just made from paper.
Bunting or garlands always go a long way in decorating too. We love this one from Talking Tables which keeps it simple but classically Halloween. Pair all this with a couple of skeleton friends like Sid & Sue, and you're pretty much done!
Tableware
You could just raid your cupboards and see if you've got anything black, purple or orange to use which would work, but if you're wanting to go all out, the Emma Bridgewater Halloween bits are always just fabulous. The large bowls would be ideal for chucking sweets and snacks in, the tins perfect for storing any boo-tiful bakes, or if you want to keep it simple, just serve up something like hotdogs in the cobweb napkins so there's less washing up at the end.
Also, just FYI, we think owning a Halloween mug for use throughout only October is perfectly acceptable, just so you know.
So now you're party ready. Want more though?
It doesn't have to stop at the party. If you know someone who loves Halloween, why not treat them to a Jellycat pumpkin or bat so they can pop it on their bed. Spooky but cute style. Or if you love this time of year and want to wear it in a subtle way, treat yourself to an Erstwilder brooch for a nod to Halloween.
Et voila, you're done. All ready for Halloween in a few clicks of your mouse. Order your goodies now to ensure they arrive on time and most importantly, enjoy! Because why not hey?
