Inspired by Berlin

My husband David and myself were lucky enough to visit Berlin last week. The reason for going was to see Ex Pink Floyds Roger Waters The Wall tour. It was 20 years ago he last played it. But this concert seemed so special played in Berlin. Whilst the concert was absolutely amazing, we had time to enjoy the delights of the city. Berlin has so much to offer by way of history, culture, cafes and bars. If you go off the beaten track and down the side streets you'll discover unique cafes and bars and great individual shops. Take a visit to HACKESCHER MARKT and seek out all the beautiful boutiques, I was in shoppers heaven. Its a shame we only had hand luggage on the plane, next time I'll plan it better so I can bring plenty of goodies home. Theres also great bars off of the main area on Sophie and August Strasses.  even though some of the bars looked shabby they were still very chic. The TV tower is also in this area and well worth a trip to the top in the revolving restaurant. It's all so very 70s and they even serve black forest gateau. Fantastic views and a rare memorable experience. I also recommend the Adina hotel chain in Berlin, (Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof) they have 3 in the city and the one near the main hospital was a perfect location for our time in the city. So until next time Berlin, auf wiedersehen. XX
